Bill E. Winters, age 63, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on September 7, 1947 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the son of James Carroll and Lois Virginia Ogg Winters. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1975 moving from Ness County, Kansas, he was a manager for Grain Sorghum Hogs for 18 years and worked for Prime Pork both of Scott City, Kansas
He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam war.
On December 22, 1972 he married Janice K. Moore in Bazine, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Janice K. Winters of Scott City, Kansas, Mother - Lois Winters of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Roland W. Winters of Belton, Missouri, Father & Mother in Law - Delbert & Lillian Moore of Ness City, Kansas, One Brother in Law - Doug & Teresa Moore of Bazine, Kansas, One Sister in Law - Cathy Moore of Ness City, Kansas and Numerous Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Two Sister in Laws – Phyllis Winters and Joni Rolo.
Graveside Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 with Don Williams presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials amy be given to the Pence Community Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
