Our Latest Project

Stan's vaation began at around noon yesterday! All three of his girls were lined up at the front door as we excitedly greeted him. We never seem to have enough time with one another. An 8-day stretch of time off will definitely help!

By the time that he arrived at home, Leighlyn and I had removed everything from the bathroom that could be moved easily. Such things were the wicker towel cabinet, the double curtains that surround the soaking tub, all pictures, angels, etc that just make a room into a cozy room.

After we ate lunch, Stan kicked into gear. He transferred the stool-it and antique vanity to the dining room. Yeppers, Folks. This family has bragging rights to probably having the only dining room in Wichita County that comes complete with it's very own bathroom fixtures! Right now, Stan is preparing the removal of the soaking tub. It, too, will be resting in the dining room. Boy! I'll just bet that you're jealous of the fact that we have bathromm fixtures in our dining room, aren't you? LOL!!!

Of course, I had predicted that those items would be put outside until we were ready to bring them back indoors. Then Danley told me that he expects that our new floor will be in place today. After the subfloor is installed, it should take very little time to install our Allure. Once it is installed, everything will move back to the bathroom. (Thank goodness!)

This time, I am going to do my best to post the new pictures of our bathroom on the blog. But, please don't hold your breath on that... I STILL haven't gotten pictures of the kitchen after Danley and I completed it last winter. Since we would have the digital camera out already to take pictures of the bathroom, we just might slip into the kitchen and take pictures there, too! I know that several of you gave up hope that we would ever post the kitchen pics so they came over and saw the kitchen with their very own eyes. Believe me, we loved hearing the compliments that we received from those people!

Right now, a couple who saw what we did with our cabinet technique are getting ready to do the same thing in their kitchen. Before they saw the kitchen with their own eyes, they really weren't expecting much out of our cabinets.

So, anyway, until the bathroom project is finished, I probably will not be on here very much. If you want something blogged, please call me or email me and I will blog it right away.

After the bathroom is finished, we will be stringing out more fencing for the herd's "outdoor space" and possibly do some travelling for a day or two at the end of vacation.

VLE-B
