DEER

I just received a phone call from someone who reads my blog. He wanted me to post this for everyone to read. Right now, is the mating season for deer. That means that it is more dangerous during this time of the year for motorists. So if you are driving anytime from early dusk (evening) until sun-up, there is a good chance that you will be seeing deer somewhere that you are not accustomed to seeing them--in road ditches and ON the highway. Some of these herds actually gather across the roads and highways and do not budge to get out of your way. One evening last Fall, my family and I were coming home from Lakin. We encountered one such herd. I had to come to a complete stop. Still, the deer did not move out of our way. Finally, I had to drive around this deer and that deer...

These deer are "in love" right now and are not thinking as well as they normally do. LOL!!!

Be aware!!!
