Dear USD 467 Community,
Please take a few minutes to read our community newsletter. We hope the information is helpful
and informative. Thank you for supporting your community schools and thank you to all who have
contributed to this effort. Feel free to contact us with ideas and comments!

From the
Superintendent-

Dear Wichita County,

Thank you to the heroes of
Wichita County! Wichita
County is that unique place
where our citizens just seem
to “step up” to fill a void,
accomplish a task, and
contribute for the betterment
of all who live here. They do
so through their unselfish
attitude and sense of
community. The list is endless
from our volunteer fire
department and EMS, the
dedicated museum folks ,
individuals who serve on the
hospital board, help with the
amusement and fair
association, city and county
government, Economic
Development, people who do
community theater, or pursue
ideas like the ‘Fall Cruisin
Fest” not to mention the 4-H
and Scout leaders. These are
the civic minded citizens who
make “things happen” here

IN THIS ISSUE:
ü Important Dates!
ü USD 467 receives several Standards of
Excellence for state academic test scores
ü Construction Update
ü RBSES and WC Jr-Sr High News
ü Register to receive school news texts

RBSES: 4:00-8:00pm
Junior-Senior High School: 4:30-8:30pm

Congrats to USD 467 Principals, Staff,

and we are fortunate to have
so many.
The same applies to our
school system. For the school
district it is parents who
choose to get involved in
their student’s education by
helping as grade school class
room parent helpers, going on
field trips, and helping with
special events. We also have
community members who
choose to serve on the Board
of Education, coach our little
league and junior and senior
high sports, volunteers who
help with Scholars’ Bowl and
Forensics, annual junior high
league music festival, and of
course, the dedicated TRIBE
Booster Club members who
support WCHS. The list could
go on and on.

You can tell a lot about a
community by the people
who call it home We are
blessed to have folks who
care ( our heroes) to make
a difference in Wichita
County for our community
and our community
schools—Thank you!

It is an honor to be your
school superintendent.

Yours in Education,
Dr. Jim Hardy

and Students!!

USD 467 met the state Standards of Excellence in several

Construction News!

There have been a lot of changes around the future Wichita
County Elementary School. The brick work is completed
and the new windows are installed. The next steps in the
exterior work involve final door installment and dirt work.
The effort of the interior work will now increase dramatically.
Examples of inside work include new energy efficient heating/
air conditioning, preparing the new Pre-K room, and moving
some upstairs walls, painting, flooring, and a new elevator. The
playground and landscaping plans are also being developed.
The junior-senior high is still in the midst of receiving its new
energy efficient heating/air conditioning as well as upgraded
energy efficient lighting. Please feel free go by the construction
site and take a look. If you would like a personal tour or have
questions contact Dr. Hardy, school superintendent, at 375-4677.
