Marjy L. Staats - Scott City

Marjy L. Staats, age 78, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on May 20, 1932 in Cimarron, Kansas, the daughter of Milton and Irene Kenton Standley. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1958 moving from Wichita, Kansas, she was a homemaker and a nurse’s aide at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

On August 5, 1949 she married Glen F. Staats in Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives.



Survivors Include her One Son - Ronald & Kathy Staats of Cimarron, Kansas, One Daughter - Glenda Welch of Salina, Kansas, Two Brothers - Don Standley of Las Vegas, Nevada, John P. Standley of Canyon City, Colorado, One Sister - Mary Jo Fortsch of Las Vegas, Nevada, One Half Sister - Teena McBride of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Two Step Sisters - Sandra Burton of Dodge City, Kansas, Jackie Conrady of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Six Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Son – Danny Staats, One Grandson – Neil Staats, and a Step Mother – Mildred Standley.



Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 with Steve Payne presiding.



Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.



Memorials may be given to the Marjy L. Staats Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
