I received this email and was asked to post it on my blog for all to read. It's writer was upset about the current situation that I am in right now in regards to the "scandals" of the woman in Dollar General scorning me and the couple, who when discovering me in a Leoti store on Sunday, decided to walk out without buying as much as a stick of gum. "The overall definition of a blog, is that it contains the opinions of the person composing same and therefore, falls under the first amendment of the Bill of Rights - Freedom of Speech. Lynn, you have never written anything to defame, demoralize, critize or degrade anyone. You wrote your personal blog, allowing the "general public" of Leoti to be informed. See those words, informed --- I look back at over a year of your blog and then did the calculation - 97.2% was pure information. Be it movies, obituaries, updates on former or present Leotians, etc. And again, anything else comes under the Freedom of Speech.
And honey, I've known alot more than Leoti. Now do I get the fact you do not want to impact your family, yes I do. BUT from what I know of your girls, Stan, etc. --- they are your strongest supporters and do understand the meaning of your blog. It is not to HURT anyone. Lynnie, they are not being hurt, trust me I've talked to them - they are all good. Or as we say in Italy - "forget about it". Let it go, it is okay. Peter has this phrase, "take a breath". He taught it to me becuase, as he explained in the time you say it to yourself, you start to calm.
and finally, this is where I get selfish - what if you never wrote it? What about the people not living in Leoti, who would not have been informed of the growth, community spirit, the ability to help others at the holidays, the obitiuaries, etc. But from my standpoint, what if I never found you? My life would not be complete. Oh yes, I have countless friends who would say I have everything and Lynn I will not deny that information to you - I probably am pretty close to that. But I would not have had you - and you have become one of the most important people in my life, you are my "sissy". You have given back to me my roots, not degraded them but told me it is okay to embrase them as they are. You have given me the chance to come to Leoti this summer and be welcomed with open arms, to have fun, to see people and to spend time with you, Stan and my girlie girls. My own family, does not provide that for me - and you know why - because they are far more looked upon with negative eyes than you are. Particularly one - who goes without mention."
Thank you sooo very much for all of your very kind support. Most importantly, thank you for all of your love! You are such a wonderful addition to our family!!! We can hardly wait to see you this Summer!!! VLE-B
