Major Hint for using Crockpots

I advice that you purchase these pots with clear lids. Everytime that you lift the lid off of a crockpot, it takes 15-20 minutes for the cooker to regain the heat that was just lost. I prefer the glass lids. When we were first married, almost 30 years ago, our first crockpot came with a clear plastic lid. It was okay but over time, it became scatched up and was difficult to see through.
