New Businesses on Main Street

Various people have asked me what is happening on Main Street. Well, two new businesses being set up is what is going on. Great news!!!

For the past few weeks, renovations have been underway in the two buildings directly north of the Seaboard Foods offices. The buildings belong to Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Endorf. They are readying the two buildings for the new veterinarian.

One block further south and west, the offices of Accountant Elizabeth (Liz) Griem-Gould will be moved. She and her husband, John, recently purchased the former Ben Hartloff Law Office and home.

It is just wonderful to see how Leoti's Main Street is coming to live once again!

There is just one vacant building now on the block between the post office and the museum. It is the former Wewer Liquor Store. There are no vacant buildings between Mel's Foodliner and The Pool Hall. Soon, there will be no vacant buildings between Mr. Mullen's Boot and Shoe Repair Shop and Paul Brandt's State Farm Insurance Office.

South of the corner of Main and Broadway, there are no vacant buildings on either side of the street.

More and more, it is becoming more difficult to find an empty parking space on Main Street. Great news!!!

Some people have asked me what is going in to the former law office just east of Jerome Leubbers' insurance agency. I THINK that I know but until I know for sure, I will not say it here.

There is an empty building on the south side of Broadway that is currently for sale. Hopefully, its doors will be open for business some day soon!
