This afternoon, I did my work for the credit bureau at the Wichita County Courthouse. When the girls and I came back home at 5:30, we opened the door and were hit by a heavy heat! I went straight to the thermostat and discovered that our house was 92 degrees INSIDE. The pipe from the central air conditioner to the house was covered in ice. I called our A/C man who instructed me to turn off the machine but leave it's fan running. This was to take place for 45 minutes. I did as instructed. As soon as it was started again, we left the house to go somewhere cooler.
We came back home at 8:30. Guess what! The air conditioner had worked long enough to bring the temperature down to 87. Then, it re-froze.
I don't know what we are going to do! This excess heat is gonna be the death of me yet...
