Wichita County has been dry for quite sometime. Of course, we had hoped that it would hold back until after our area farmers had completed their wheat harvest. I've heard that many, if not all, have finished it now.
With the water problems that Leoti is currently experiencing, many of us including our family have decided to water very little in our yard. We water the flower and vegetable gardens right now but are doing them only gingerly. With the lack of water, our grass is pretty dull and is not growing very quickly.
Last night after the fireworks had all been sent upwards, a wonderful rain poured from Heaven. I just checked our rainguage. Here at home, we received 1.90. To my knowledge, there was no hail. So wonderful!!!
Praise the Good Lord!!!
