When Dollar General first came to Leoti, the store closed every night at 7:00. Shortly after that, the new closing time was upped to 8:00. Still, customers wanted an even later close time so they opted to keep the business open every night until 9:00. Wichita Countians have really appreciated the longer workday at Dollar General. I have seen people arrive at the store at 9:00 and still want to be admitted in to shop.
So, now, the powers-that-be of Dollar General Stores have decided to run a trial on Friday and Saturday, October 29th and 30th, to see if they should keep the store open until 10:00 CST.
Personally, I am extremely happy and thankful that Leoti has a Dollar General Store! Plenty of Greeley County customers drive to Leoti on a regular basis just so they can take advantage of the DG prices. Leoti's store is quite popular! $G is our small town Wal-Mart. LOL!!! I am also very pleased that it stays open as late as it does. There have been a bunch of times when we have had to make a fast run to purchase something that we need RIGHT NOW--not tomorrow. LOL! So, if you are a person who thinks that you would patronize a 10:00 closing at Leoti's Dollar General, do some shopping on those two evenings! That is the only way that the corporate offices will know if there is enough business to warrant the later closing time.
I would also like to mention that I am extremely impressed with the clean facelift inside the store! It is so easy to get around in the store now. The shelves are full and there always seems to be some brand new variety of products! Much of the credit needs to be given to Shonda Harp-Taylor who is the new store manager.

Linnda Dizmang did alot better and was ALOT nicer to the coustmers and DG has lost a BUNCH of people sense Linda has been gone. Everyone I talk to say they don't shop there no more because there hateful and rude.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I really enjoyed Linda also. Many people, including myself, really appreciated such things as how Linda would drop everything to carry bags out for her elderly or not-so-healthy customers. Linda is a great person!!! Please do not get the idea that I was talking against her!!! But, the new employees have really made an amazing difference. And...I know that I am NOT the only person who has noticed that!!! Several people have come to me and mentioned how different it looks today. I only wish the BEST for Linda!!! It is too bad that Linda and Shonda could not have worked together. They would have been the perfect team!!!
