More and more of us gardeners are choosing to purchase the "ready-started" flowering plants to put out in our gardens. The expense can be overwhelming. So, in recent years, manufacturers introduced seed tape to the open market. Many of us have spent a pretty penny on this tape and have had good results with it! But, I just got a "recipe" for making our own seed tape! Anyone can do this. The girls and I are planning on doing this too! It'll be a lot of fun and we can do it with very little money. Here are the necessary materials:
*Toilet paper, Paper towels or Paper napkins
*Marker
*Ruler
*All-purpose glue
*Flower seeds
*Tweezers (optional)
For the simple directions, go to www.hgtv.com . Once there, sign up for the Family Gardening Club. There is NO charge for this. You will automatically be sent monthly fun projects that you can do with your children, grandchildren, friends, etc. It will really help to connect us with Mother Nature!
Enjoy!!!
