Apple/Cheese Cracker Spread

This spread should make 16 servings.

8 ounces of cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon apple juice

2 tablespoons of brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon OR apple pie spice

1 medium red apple, chopped (see NOTE:)

1/4 cup chopped pecans

crackers of your choice

In small bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer on MEDIUM speed until fluffy. Beat in the brown sugar, cinnamon or apple pie spice. Using a spoon or fork, stir in the apple and pecans.

Top with apple pieces, pecans, etc, if desired. Serve with crackers and a non-sharp knife.

NOTE: If you are going to be serving this to people who have difficulty with apple peels such as young children or people who have dentures, you may want to peel the apple instead before you chop it.
