Bleu Hamburgers

3 pounds lean ground beef

4 ounces blue (bleu) cheese

1/2 cup minced fresh chives (optional)

1/4 teaspoon Tobasco Hot Pepper Sauce (optional)

1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper (optional)

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon mustard powder

12 french rolls or hamburger buns



In large bowl, mix all of these ingredients together with your hands. When mixed well, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Preheat your grill or skillet on HIGH. Lightly grease the pan now. Lower heat to MEDIUM. Form into 12 patties. Place each on the grill or skillet. Cook each side for 5 minutes or until well done.

Serve on french rolls or hamburger buns with ketchup, mustard, sliced pickles, onions, etc.
