Eva W. McCowan, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Wichita County Long Term Care Unit in Leoti, Kansas. She was born on April 7, 1917 in Wichita County, Kansas, the daughter of Henry W. and Katherine Fuchs Kuhlmann. A lifetime resident of Wichita County, Kansas, she was a homemaker, mother, wife, bus driver and librarian.
Her current membership includes the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas. Eva’s other past memberships included the Wichita County Museum, Leoti Library, The First Presbyterian Women and was a community theatre member.
On September 15, 1940 she married Arthur R. McCowan in Wichita County, Kansas. He survives.
Survivors Include her Husband - Arthur R. McCowan of Leoti, Kansas, Two Daughters - Linda L. Scheel of Leoti, Kansas, Paula M. Leazure of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, One Sister - Mildred Cascone of Pensacola, Florida, Five Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Three Sisters and One Brother.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 with the Rev. Steven Wing presiding.
Interment will be in the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Wichita County Museum, First Presbyterian Church or the Wichita County Long Term Care Unit % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Monday.
