Barbequed Meatloaf in Crockpot

Planning on having dinner guests before and after Thanksgiving? This recipe is easy and simply DELICIOUS!!! For large crowds of guests, this recipe is very easily doubled.

Meatloaf ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds of very lean ground beef

1 egg; slightly beaten

1 cup onion; finely chopped OR 2-3 tablespoons of dried onion flakes

2-4 tablespoons of green pepper; chopped

1 cup soft bread crumbs that are torn apart

2 teaspoons prepared mustard (such as French's)

1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

1 teaspoon parsley flakes (optional)

1/2 cup ketsup

Sauce ingredients:

1 cup ketsup

1 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon Liquid Smoke (salad dressing department)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup minced onion OR 2-3 tablespoons of dried onion flakes

Spray crockpot with PAM or a butter flavored cooking spray. Heat crockpot on LOW.

In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, finely chopped onion, chopped green pepper, bread crumbs, mustard, Worcestershire Sauce, parsley and 1/2 cup ketchup. Mix well. Form this mixture into a ball and place it in the prepared crockpot.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine all of the sauce ingredients. Mix well. Pour this over the meatloaf ball.

Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.

Serve with potatoes of your choice, vegetables, etc.
