Well, Kyle and Heather (Harkness) Leimkuhler have done it again!!! For the past few years, they have put out an absolutely AMAZING Christmas display in their front yard. It literally takes DAYS to get everything placed where it needs to be, cords stretched out to electrical outlets, etc. I keep expecting to see Heather dressed in an apron with a white wig and rosy cheeks and Kyle who has donned a Santa Claus suit, to be standing in their front yard passing out Christmas cookies to everyone who passes by! It has become a community favorite for young and old alike to visit.
If you haven't seen it for yourself yet, their house is located at 901 North Third Street--just behind Porter's Body Shop. You won't miss it as long as you follow the golden glow in Northern Leoti! LOL!!!
Last night when we drove past it, the lights were not turned on yet. I imagine that electricity will be sparking its way to the Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving or right after it.
It is a good thing that the Leimkuhlers know an electrician, Roger Long who is Heather's uncle--because as more decorations came along, Roger had to put in new electrical outlets, fuse boxes, etc to safely allow the show to continue onward. I asked Heather about their electric bill. She told me that it goes up considerably during the month that it is set up. They started out with just a few things, then little by little and lot by lot, they purchased more things and people gave them others that they were no longer going to be using because they were moving out of Leoti, etc.
Anyway, you owe it to your family and yourself to take a cruise by their house! If you have kids like we do, they'll want to drive by it VERY often. LOL!!!
Our family wants to thank you, Kyle and Heather, for doing all of this to help put us and keep us in the Christmas mood!!!
