Juanita Grace Nightengale, age 81, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on May 25, 1929 in Gray County, Kansas, the daughter of Sam & Agnes Smith Unruh. A resident of Scott County, Kansas since 1948 moving from Copeland, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church in Scott County, Kansas.

On November 27, 1947 she married Ervin Nightengale at the Salem Mennonite Church in Copeland, Kansas.

Survivors Include Husband - Ervin Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sons - James & Elaine Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, Charles & Phyllis Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, Mark & Barbara Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, Six Sisters - Luella Koehn of Montezuma, Kansas, Vada Unruh of Montezuma, Kansas, Shirley Unruh of Copeland, Kansas, Maxine & Eldon Schmidt of Copeland, Kansas, Sylvia & Delton Wedel of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Jeanette & DeVern Nightengale of Montezuma, Kansas, Two Brothers - Eugene & Janice Unruh of Copeland, Kansas, Sam Jr. & Jan Unruh of Copeland, Kansas, One Sister In Law - Ruby Unruh of Copeland, Kansas, Nine Grandchildren and Twenty Two Great Grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her Parents, Two Brothers – Cecil & Louis, One Brother In Law – Obed Koehn, and Two Sister In Laws – Elizabeth Unruh & Ruby Unruh.


Funeral Services will be held at the Scott Mennonite Church in Scott County, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 with Franklin Koehn presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Scott County, Kansas.

Memorials amy be given to the Gospel Tract & Bible Society % of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
