Green Bean Casserole

This has been one of our family favorites for many years. We use it all year long--not just for the holidays.

2 16-ounce cans of green beans; drained
3/4 cup milk
1 regular sized can of cream of mushroom soup; undiluted
1/8 teasppon black pepper
1 2.8 ounce can of Durkee French Onions
8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
1 small can of chopped chilies (OPTIONAL)

In large bowl, mix all engredients EXCEPT for 1/2 can of the onions and the cheddar cheese. Pour into a 9" x 13" casserole pan or a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Cover with the cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated throughout. Remove from oven. Sprinkle the rest of the onions on the casserole. PLace back into the oven and bake for another 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
