Leighlyn's New Book

As you know, both of my daughters have discovered that they, too, love writing! Recently, Leighlyn's English Teacher, Mrs. Leslie Niswonger, asked the class to write stories. The stories will then be treated just like a published book. I don't know about all of the kids but Leighlyn was totally thrilled to get this experience!!!

She has been writing a neat fictional story that supposedly takes place in one of Leoti's most famous houses--the Washington-Ames House! (If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you have heard much information about it. Recently pictures were put on my blog so that more people can have an idea of what it is like--especially now since folks such as Curt and Karen Walk, Don and Jeanene French, etc have been pouring so much of their love and tears into it's renovation!)

I am soooo proud of her for doing this!!! Once in awhile, she has me drive by the house and park so that she can just look at it to get more inspiration for her story.

Once she brings her "book" home, I am going to try to post it right here for all interested people to read.

Anyway, I just thought that this might be something of interest to you!!!

  1. I hope to have this finished by Christmas Break. It's taking some time to read all of them. Thanks!

  2. I am sure that it takes a great deal of time, Leslie!!! You have several kids in your class who really get into printing their imaginations out on paper! LOL!!!

    Thank you for your comment!!!
