Stuffing Cooked in Crockpot???

Our grandmother, Nonny, ALWAYS made the abolute best dressing (stuffing). It was just one of her many dishes that we all looked forward to for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sadly, she was called Home in 1998. Given the fact that Nonny did the most of her cooking without the use of recipes, it appeared that the dressing of our memories would remain there--in our memories. Through the years, Lori, has dabbled with this and that as she tried to re-create Nonny's masterpiece. This recipe is much like Lori's recipe but Lori has never tried the dill, at least not as far as I know. LOL!!! So, if you know Lori, ask her for her recipe for her dressing OR try this recipe. And, given the fact that this is something that can be cooked in a crockpot, you'll be able to save extra space in your oven!

4 1/2 C. bread crumbs

1 pkg. herb stuffing mix

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can celery soup

2 cans chicken broth

1 onion chopped

4 eggs

Pinch sage

Pinch dill

Pinch salt and pepper

2 Tbs. butter

Mix together bread crumbs and stuffing mix. Add remaining ingredients and dot with butter. Pour into greased 6 qt. slow cooker. Cook on LOW until cooked through and set.
