This afternoon, Leighlyn discovered an unlikely critter in our front yard--for this time of the year anyway. A TURTLE!!! I don't know if the feller is late getting to shelter for the Winter or if this is a sign that Winter will not be very hard for Western Kansas this year. Anyone have any ideas on the matter???
Leighlyn was concerned about the turtle's welfare so she brought him indoors. Abigayle decided to name it, Clancy, which I think is just perfect for this turtle!!!
One of our favorite TV series is RIZZOLI AND ISLES. Isles just happens to have a L-A-R-G-E turtle that lives in her house. It does not live in a cage. Instead it has free access to the whole house. The girls and I would like to do that with our turtle. Does anyone out there have some advice on that for us? We'd really appreciate anything that you can offer!!!

ReplyDeleteGreat advice!!! Thank you!!! We've all been enjoying our little Clancy. It is surprising just how much personality a turtle can really have... I will take you up on the research offer. We may learn that it is a much better idea to release him back to the wild...
