What is wrong with some people???

Recently, I was told a story that really happened somewhere close by. A child went to school one day not feeling well. This person had told his/her parents of the illness before leaving for school. The parent insisted that the child go to school anyway. Once at school, this person vomited 2 or 3 times. His/Her friends tried to convince that this person should not be in school but should contact the parents. Eventually that morning, the parents were called at their home by the ailing child. Instead of the parents coming right to school to pick up this child, the mother explained to the child that she needed to go to a community an hour away BEFORE she would come to school and take the student home. Three or four hours after the phone call was received, the child was picked up and taken home.

And then we wonder why viruses, etc are passed on so quickly at schools...
