Dishpan Cookies

This recipe can be cut in half if necessary. You can also bake them now, freeze them and take them out to thaw in time for your holidays with family and friends!

You will need a very large mixing bowl for this. Tupperware's Bread Bowl works wonderfully! Or use a large dishpan.

2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
1 pound of butter or margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup coconut
12 ounces chocolate chips
4 cups cornflakes
4 cups oatmeal (uncooked)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and soda, salt. Stir well. Add the remainder of the ingredients. Stir well.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto your ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
