Beeline Express Bus Route

Many people along the Pueblo,Colorado to Wichita, Kansas route do not have access to vehicles or have eye problems, etc that prevent them from driving from point A to point B. Until several years ago, buses made that trip. After that, alternate transportation had to be found. Then in 2009, Federal Stimulus Grants allowed the Beeline Express to become a reality. You can now board either of the two buses that are owned by Prestige Bus Lines. The new route just began this week. The bus line is running a $1.00 and 2.00 special from now through Monday evening. The regular fee for people traveling the whole distance between Pueblo and Wichita will be $90.00 for a 1-way ticket and $171.00 for a 2-way ticket. These buses will not only transport people, they will also transfer freight.

Towns that now house the bus stops are Wichita, Hutchinson, Dodge City, Garden City and Syracuse in Kansas. In Colorado, those stops are in Pueblo, Fowler, Rocky Ford, La Junta, Las Animas, Lamar and Granada. Locally, after Monday, the regular fee to travel all of the distance between Pueblo and Wichita will cost $90.00 one way. Two-way tickets will cost $171.00. People who do not travel the full distance will not pay this amount. The price will be lower. The bus stop in Garden City is located at the Garden City Travel Plaza which is located just north of Garden City at 1265 Solar Avenue. For many of us, that location is better known as the "truck stop". In Syracuse, the buses will depart from Ark Valley Oil, 204 W. U.S. Hwy 50. These are also the locations where you will need to purchase your tickets. Buses will run 7-days-per-week.

Eastbound buses from Syracuse will LEAVE Syracuse at 8:35 a.m.,CST. Westbound buses will LEAVE at 10:40 a.m. People need to be at the bus stop before that to purchase tickets and to board the bus. Those tickets from Syracuse will cost $45.84 for a one-way trip or $87.10 for a two-way trip.

Happy motoring!!!
